So last night Snow left the raid because he didn't want to "carry" a new recruit. I just want to clear the air on this and make sure everyone is aware of this.
We are, more or less, a casual guild. We look for fellowship more so than skill. It's been like this since conception. Yes, we do focus up when we have to, but we are nowhere near a serious raiding guild. So with this being said, regarding last night, we will have to, some times, carry new recruits. If it becomes an issue where we can't complete a boss due to the lack of skill of a new recruit, then and ONLY then, will I ask that person to bow out. I don't care if someone is under the tanks in DPS. We have always been a supportive and learning guild, not bashing someone cause their skill level isn't quite up to the standard of your own. Bloodyfrost, from last night, came in at 679, which is below the 680 requirement for HFC, but I know our dps can help carry that and get him gear so that we can get his dps up as well as help him improve his rotation and give him constructive feedback.... Not "This guy is only pulling 21k, why are we helping him" or "I don't want to carry him".
This kind of attitude will NOT be accepted in this guild. If you don't like any of this, then this is not the guild for you and you can gladly go ahead and /gquit now. We are having a hard enough time just recruiting people that we need to take what we can get and help them. Everyone can always improve and, as a guild, we are supposed to be there to support and guide them. Because of last night and childish/immature behavior, we lost a new ranged recruit. If I see any more of this behavior, I will talk with you and politely ask you to leave the guild and if you don't, then I will remove you myself. I, absolutely, will not stand for any behavior like this (i.e. Diarmuid). Be respectful to everyone and if something is bothering you, then come to me and talk to me about it.
